I started this blog in 2019 to share my experiences traveling to Indonesia to visit our foreign exchange daughter Ary and attend her wedding. It sat idle as a digital scrapbook for 7 years.
An email from my webhost caused me to visit the site again, and I realized that I had done a lot of writing and posting on Facebook since this trip. I’m also getting closer to retirement, and I hope to be able to travel more once I’m no longer working.
I decided to broaden this blog to include those Facebook posts, and to use it for future travels. It’s my hope that not only can my friends and family follow my journeys, but that this can be a place to share stories, recommendations, and advice with each other. At worst, I can broaden that digital scrapbook and record my memories.
